This is a BID for the 2015 National AA Convention to be held in Area C Eastern Region.
WHAT IS THE BACKGROUND OR REASON FOR THE TOPIC?
Area C Eastern Region has grown in numbers of Members in AA in this AREA & in the Service work being completed . We were preparing for a bid in 2008 & unfortunately were advised that the venue was going to be refurbished, so our bid was cancelled. Now, due to members from this Area & other Area's finding 2015 was available, we have decided to lodge the BID AGAIN. We have some members indicate their 110 % support as our latest District/Area meeting indicated 98 % approval for our BID. The Newcastle City Hall may I use the word" PERFECT for this 2015 AA National Convention. Not only is the Venue "PERFECT but the location of the City Hall is 3 minutes walk from Honeysuckle & its Harbour side location is Fabulously filled with Walks to NOBBYS head & Nobby's beach & FIRST CLASS Restaurants. Darby Street, a one minute walk through our Magnificent CIVIC Park, is the Dining & Coffee CAPITAL of Newcastle.

Why not have the 2012 AA National Conference in Newcastle, this Solution will prepare the GSB & DELEGATES for the 2015 National AA Convention in Newcastle. MANY times the WINNER of the "BEST CITY TO LIVE ", IN AUSTRALIA.
HOW WILL THE ALCOHOLIC WHO STILL SUFFERS OR THE FELLOWSHIP OF ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS BENEFIT FROM THIS SUGGESTION?
PUBLIC INFORMATION from AA & the media, will notify those still suffering of this disease, that AA IS ALIVE IN THIS AREA C. We Will make AA Attractive & to those seeking a daily reprieve. Already the media is assisting us in our efforts.
WHAT ARE THE ESTIMATED COSTS OF IMPLEMENTING THIS SUGGESTION?
Five years our, it is difficult to budget for this Convention, we will seek to not only cut even but make a SUBSTANTIAL DONATION TO OUR GSB.

I am a member of two groups. The majority are in favour of our Bid for 2015
At our District meeting on Saturday which was held at Cessnock 98 % of those were in favour of our 2015 Bid. At this District meeting, we conducted Area Business as the closing date on the 24th of June did not enable us to have a full Area Meeting, the similar MAJORITY voted in favour of our Bid.
I sent a report to the Regional Forum held on Saturday 11th of June, which I asked Delegates from This Area for their Support for our Bid, as the National AA Convention is Eastern Region Bid.
